Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Releases the "Chenglong Truck Pilot MAX" Intelligent Conn
On June 7, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd., together with Cidi Smart Drive and China Mobile Guangxi Branch, jointly released the "Chenglong Truck Pilot MAX" intelligent online electric logistics solution, and launched the first commercial operation of the park's logistics unmanned heavy truck (without a safety officer).
Liuzhou is one of the five major automobile cities in China, gathering four major automobile enterprises and over a hundred main engine and component enterprises. The logistics operating costs within the park are high, and it is difficult to recruit drivers. The owners of the park urgently need to develop towards automation, intelligence, and unmanned operations in loading and unloading, transportation, distribution, and warehousing, in order to improve operational efficiency.Zhu Ying, Deputy Secretary General of the Logistics Equipment Professional Committee of the China Federation of Logistics and Procurement, stated that industrial parks are the preferred scenario for the commercialization of autonomous driving. The support of China Mobile's 5G technology has also provided assistance for the development of the autonomous driving industry.
The scheme released this time realizes the whole process unmanned operation through the auto drive system, reducing the driver's labor and logistics costs. Wang Shanchao, Deputy Director of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Commercial Vehicle Technology Center, stated that "truly unmanned" means that autonomous driving has begun to move from concept to reality.
To ensure the safety of unmanned driving, the auto drive system adopts multiple safety protection design, optimal driving strategy and precise control execution. If encountering unexpected situations during autonomous driving, the staff can remotely control and drive through the remote driving control cabin to ensure work safety.
After more than a year of verification in actual production and operation scenarios, this plan has accumulated tens of thousands of kilometers of operating mileage, and all indicators have been verified and meet unmanned standards. It can adapt to solve the pain points of logistics transportation in the park and achieve unmanned operation of transportation in the park.
Lin Jie, Deputy General Manager of Liuzhou Branch of China Mobile Communications Group Guangxi Co., Ltd., stated that through this plan, the commercialization of autonomous electric logistics in the "depersonalized" park will be achieved, ushering in a new era of smart logistics. With the deepening of a new round of global technological revolution and industrial transformation, the integration of 5G and industrial internet will accelerate China's new industrialization process and inject new momentum into China's economic development.
